[00:00:00] Speaker A: Sam.
So things are different for me now.
I in retirement, and my vision has always been a water person, is to live on the water.
So I got an opportunity this past winter to step into my vision to live in St. Augustine during the, during the winter, next year.
Me before.
Yeah, that'd be awesome. And never do a darn thing about it, right? In less than 12 hours, I had my name on the list and took lots of steps, committed action, to actually secure an oceanfront condo in St. Augustine. My vision, life is now. I took those steps. You know, it was just very easy to think in smaller steps. That was an easy vision to create, but there could have been a lot, a lot of resistance.
So action is what it's all about, you guys. It really is. It's all about, you know, don't wait.
Don't wait.
[00:01:52] Speaker B: Yes.
So cool.
So good. Yes. You are the living example, and we are each living examples of goods. We held each other high through this process, through this journey. It wasn't easy. It was uncomfortable, but it was the willingness, right? Because a powerful awareness and a beautiful vision are really not enough without the one thing which is taking action. And in leadership, it's not just about dreaming and leaving the dream. And just like, you know, it's about skin in the game, and it's about not just doing, but being in the action.
So that's what moves us forward. And like you said, sue, you know, action doesn't have to be huge. It's just, it's one little step at a time. One win and count the wins. And it really, it just needs to be aligned with our vision, with who we are at our essence. And this is an invitation for you to really discover, like, what do you get to be aware of where, what is your vision and then what action steps are going to lead you in the direction aligned with that vision of who you get to be. And it starts with a decision, right? I'm not waiting anymore. Life is now. The time is now. So, my goodness, we can share so many moments where we had to take that leap and then another go and then again, even when it felt scary or, or it was messy. And that's. That's it. We, you know, sometimes we aim to do things perfectly. Like, I am a guilty of that and I'm a recovery perfectionist, and I get to continue to break that.
And it's important to identify, like, what is the little next thing and the clear step that I can take towards the vision and the goal.
[00:03:57] Speaker C: So beautiful.
So beautiful.
[00:04:00] Speaker A: What I love is that when we were working towards our vision of creating our book, Leadership for Teens. Discover the leader in you.
Obstacles were opportunities.
So it's that awareness, shift your mind, reframe it, that could have stopped us dead in our tracks. But no, it was an opportunity. Okay, what do we get to create? How do we get to shift?
Who do we get to be to get to our vision?
[00:04:36] Speaker C: It's when we meet resistance that things get difficult. And I just believe that resistance really is just that purification. It's the process where you don't. When you feel like there is a block in front of you, be like water. I think it was Bruce Lee who said, just be like water. Go around it, under it, over it, whatever it takes.
Because you know the vision.
You have a vision that is needed, that is needed, that would make a difference, that would create value to others.
And having our book being, being created by 23 other authors, other master leaders from the different parts of the world, did not get through that easy.
[00:05:31] Speaker B: No, exactly.
[00:05:35] Speaker C: The experience was really not just building my leadership, but really building my character.
How, how you. You will know who you really are, what you are made of when you, when you are faced with resistance, when.
[00:05:50] Speaker A: You are faced with difficulties, when you persist.
[00:05:56] Speaker B: Exactly. And what you resist persists.
So every time we're. We're found, lock that obstacle that every, anytime that you make a decision, you're going to find resistance. So it's just a matter of being aware of that and then being willing to be led by your vision and take further action, align with your vision so it doesn't have to be comfortable. But that is leadership. That is leadership. And so I know we been here talking to you, but what you have done today by being here, by showing up is powerful. You took the time to start exploring your mind, being curious about what is it that you want so you can reconnect with your vision. Because your vision is given to you and it's your vision and nobody else has to agree with it or understand it because it's given to you in your heart, in your soul, in your mind. So stay curious and stay digging in into what is your vision, no matter how big it is. And then choose a new direction. That is the essence of leadership.
Our book that we put together wasn't an easy process. And our book really is the journey that we went through.
Leadership for Teens discovered the leader in you is not just for teens. Because we all were child and we all can find that inner child, same as we can find our rebel team inside. And imagine if you can go back in life and give your. That. That person, that stage of you with undeveloped character, full of doubts, insecurities, imagine you can give it a manual, a guide.
This book particular is filled with stories, ways of being and tools that have helped us in. And we're here to support you. We're bringing the book to life here, to you and everything that we have.
[00:08:07] Speaker C: And exercises as well.
[00:08:09] Speaker B: Oh yes, it's. Yeah. Everything that we shared today comes straight from our experience and from the workbook that we invite you to go through. Because it is a self discovery process to discover that you indeed are a leader, are born to be a leader and how to master your mind in order to become the leader you were born to be.
And so as. As we are closing in here, this doesn't have to end here.
If today sparked something in you, we invite you to join us as we go even deeper into these three pillars of awareness, vision and action. Not just any action, aligned action.
And in our book, Leadership for Teens, Discover the leader in you. Like I said, it's not just a workbook, it's a guide to walk with you as you continue this path. And we're also going to be offering upcoming events and other little sessions and the support spaces to help you stay in momentum so you don't have to figure it out alone. We've been through the path and we would love to bridge the gap to take you into the journey into leadership.
[00:09:28] Speaker C: So for, for introducing this tool to our listeners and to our viewers. And sue, would you have anything to say about the authors of this book? Committed Visionaries.
[00:09:41] Speaker A: Yes, Committed Visionaries.
I think we've pretty well kind of nailed it with obstacles. There's 23 of us.
We all came together. It was really actually amazing how we all came together, laid out a plan, took our committed actions, right? We had a plan, we had the steps and we put deadlines and we met them and we pushed through. Pushed through, pushed through.
And it was all because we had a vision. And we are committed to it.
[00:10:22] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:10:22] Speaker C: We are committed to creating a world of love.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: Love, love, courage, courage, authenticity and freedom.
Yes.
So this is leader, leader, leader, leader.
Take this moment to honor yourself. You say yes to this, to being here and to start this journey, wherever in the journey you are. And remember, your mind is powerful, your vision is so valid. You matter and your actions matter.
The leader in you is ready for you to say yes.
[00:11:07] Speaker C: Ladies, thank you. Thank you so much for this opportunity to be here with you.
[00:11:13] Speaker A: Thank you, everybody. Thank you.
[00:11:15] Speaker B: Thank you, Gigi. Thank you, Sue.
[00:11:19] Speaker C: Until until next topic.
We have more explore. Yeah.
[00:11:25] Speaker B: Join us as we dig deeper into these three pillars because there's so much more into this. And we will include exercises from our workbook so you get experience in real life, what is possible when you make a decision. Remember, you have a choice. You matter and the power is in you.
[00:11:45] Speaker A: Yes.
Beautiful.
[00:11:47] Speaker C: Absolutely.
